Den Oever can be easily reached both by car and public transport. By public transport Den Oever can be reached by train from Schiphol/Amsterdam to Alkmaar and connecting fastbus service to bus station Den Oever. From direction Zwolle the best connection is by train to Leeuwarden and subsequently by fastbus to bus station Den Oever. From the bus station it's a 15 minutes walk to the harbour (please check the map right below). |

Statistically the quay in De Oever is flooded once every twenty years. Because this happenend both in 2007 and 2008 the next flood is not expected until the year 2048. Nevertheless we advise you to park your car in the village behind the dike. There's more than enough free parking space in Den Oever. |
